At Fairfield Park Lower

  • We 'value all children, value all achievements and value our community.'
  • We endeavour to achieve maximum inclusion of all children (including vulnerable learners) whilst meeting their individual needs.

At Fairfield Park Lower we use a Graduated Approach to SEND.  This begins with Quality First teaching which includes observations and monitoring which is back up by quality training for all staff.  Wave 2 introduces other strategies to support children such as small group teaching or bespoke interventions.  Wave 3 then involves more individual interventions, seeking advice from outside agencies.  Parents are involved throughout.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We follow an 'Assess, Plan, Do, Review' cycle as outlined in the SEN Code of Practise (2015) 

 

 

 

 

 

Identification, assessment and provision for children with Special Educational Needs is a matter for the whole school with parents working in partnership.

All members of staff play a very important part in ensuring needs are met to the best of our ability to ensure potential is reached.
